Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

The cold front over the northern part of Guangdong is moving southwards gradually. It is expected to move across the coast of Guangdong later today. A broad band of clouds is bringing a few rain patches to Guangdong.

Weather forecast for today

Mainly cloudy with one or two rain patches. Bright periods in the morning. Moderate to fresh easterly winds, becoming northerlies later, occasionally strong offshore and on high ground. Temperatures will fall appreciably to about 16 degrees at midnight.

Outlook : The minimum temperatures tomorrow and on Monday will be around 15 to 16 degrees in the urban areas, and a couple of degrees lower in the New Territories. Sunny periods midweek next week, with temperatures rising gradually.

9-Day Weather Forecast

A cold front will move across the coast of Guangdong later today. Winds will strengthen from the north with one or two rain patches over the region, and temperatures will fall appreciably. Under the influence of the associated dry northeast monsoon, it will be cool in the morning and at night over the coast of southern China in the next couple of days. With the monsoon moderating midweek next week, the weather will improve over the region with temperatures rising gradually. But the temperature difference between day and night will be relatively large over the inland areas. A broad band of clouds is expected to bring a few rain patches to southern China in the latter part of next week.
